Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security, University of Texas at San Antonio
The CIAS was established at UTSA in June of 2001 as part of UTSA's creation of a cyber security program. The university was recognized in 2002 by the National Security Agency as a leader in the field of infrastructure assurance and security as it was designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education.
The CIAS is the operational division of the UTSA Institute for Cyber Security and is designed to leverage its infrastructure assurance and security strengths as part of the solution to the nation's homeland security needs. Contact Jenine Stevenson for more information.
Cyberterrorism Defense Initiative (formerly Sentinel) Training
The Cyberterrorism Defense Initiative (CDI) is a national counter-cyberterrorism training program, developed for technical personnel and managers who monitor and protect our nation's critical infrastructures. CDI reaches all levels of public service, including state and local government, law enforcement, firefighting, public utilities, public safety and health, emergency medical services, and colleges and universities. Classes are free of charge to qualified personnel, and are held in easily accessible and centralized locations throughout the United States.
