    HI,
    We have implemented a Notification Server 7.0.7416 (formely Altiris product). We noticed than some mobile phones "check in" with the server more often than other phones. This is resulting in a huge bill for these phones because of their data usage when in other countries. Is there a patch for this or any known issues with certain types of mobile phones?

  4. Endpoint Protection Mobile Edition(External Link)

    Hi,
    we have an active subscription on Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition 3.0, and on fileconnect I can only download the old Symantec_Mobile_AV_5.1.2_US.EXE which does not support Windows Mobile 6.5.
    Is the Endpoint Protection Mobile Edtion not supposed to be a part of Symantec Protection Suite Enterprise Edition 3.0, as my understanding is that it replaces the old 5.1.2 version?

                                                    We have upgraded our SMS Software version from 8.0 to 9.0.  After Upgrade we have observed that we are not able to get System administrator NDR report with original message. This is happening for one particular email which is containing two attachment ( .HTM and .SIG).
     
    Now we have degraded the software to version 8.0 in one SMS to receive the NDR email correctly. Please provide me the solution for the same.

    Hi,
    I have several users who use laptops.  We have Barracuda which allows for the VPN connectivity.  I would like to know is there a way to do the following:

    Lock the laptop down so that it boots to the VPN logon prompt only
    Lock the laptop down so that the only website they an visit is the VPN connection
    Disallow local saves and file uploads.

    Gents

    I installed the altiris management Platform and the mobile solution.
    The documentations says to put the install files and the agent xml in the corresponding download directory.
    On the device I can access the mobiledownloads.aspx page and install the software.

    BUT: the agent xml files gets not copied during install and so the mobile is not reporting. (If I put the xml into MyDocuments, all works as expected)
    Can't this get automated? regarding the documentation this should work, or?

    pls give me a hint

    I am unable to grab the serial # right now as my coworker has the documentation and on a small break from work, I was left with the task of grabing symantec mobile security suite 6, and am left with guesswork..... is there anyway i could get a pm of the file name?

    If all else fails, i guess i could just wait another 2 weeks till he gets back, but any help is very much appreciated!

    I just noticed that a file with the name of SEP.exe has been added to Photo tab (Edit in option).  Does anybody know whether this is a virus? Thank you in advance for your help!!!!
