Steve Salter has been a member of the executive team for BBBOnLine since its operational launch in 1997, and with the Council of Better Business Bureaus for over 20 years. Mr. Salter is responsible for overseeing all operations of BBBOnLine, the Better Business Bureau’s program to increase consumer trust and confidence in electronic commerce, and to help reliable and trustworthy businesses stand out online.

Mr. Salter’s duties include providing training and support to the 132 local Better Business Bureaus in the U.S. and Canada; monitoring and quality control of participating companies; and improvements to the web site and other technical operations.

Mr. Salter worked in the CBBB’s Dispute Resolution Division for more than a decade prior to joining BBBOnLine. He held various training and management positions with BBB AUTO LINE, one of the nation’s largest independent dispute resolution programs.

Mr. Salter is past president of the Washington D.C. chapter of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

Sanjay Macwan is a Director at AT&T Labs Security Center of Excellence. His team is responsible for ensuring end-to-end security of IP Services of AT&T including ISP services (narrowband, broadband) serving over 10 million subscribers, VoIP services, and services that leverage voice and data convergence. He is a frequent speaker at prominent industry and customer forums on security matters important to CXOs and senior business and IT executives.

Prior to his current position, Sanjay led development for service management solutions for IP services. Before that, he led software development teams developing Network and Systems Management products for financial, retail, and telecommunications industries.

Sanjay earned his BS in Electrical Engineering and MS in Computer Science from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY. He also received MBA PowerPak training from Northeastern University and Leadership education from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Sanjay is a current member of AT&T LEAD – a leadership program.
